CABINET REFACING WITH SOLID WOOD
The kitchen is the heart of the home - the center of family activity and the place where guests always seem to congregate. We specialize in making old kitchens new again. We cover the frames and cabinet sides with solid wood and install new cabinet doors, drawers, concealed hinges and hardware. We can also add new cabinets and convert doors into drawers. When we're finished, the result is comparable to fine custom cabinetry. By working with your existing cabinet boxes we can complete the job in less time and at less expense than a full kitchen tearout and remodel project. The kitchen is clean and usable every evening during the project - you don't even have to empty the cabinets.
SOLID WOOD COMPONENTS
Take your outdated ‘builder’s oak’ cabinets to custom quality. Over the years you may have installed new hardware and even replaced the countertops, but the old cabinets are still there. What are your options? Undertake a major kitchen demo and start from scratch? Paint the old cabinets?
Unless the plan calls for a drastic change in the entire kitchen layout, it usually doesn’t make sense to do a complete tearout and replacement of all the cabinetry. Tearouts mean plumbing, drywall and dust. Lots and lots of dust. As for painting, painted oak cabinets tend to look like, well, painted oak cabinets.
Usually, the best kitchen remodeling solution, from a time, money, and efficiency perspective, is refacing the cabinetry with solid wood and replacing the doors and drawers.
