Its been a while since I last updated the blog, and after completing several jobs, I thought I would take a moment to show the completed Bridgeport kitchen. I will start with some before pictures. This kitchen had lots of cabinet space and a great layout. Most of the work in the kitchen was to update the look of the cabinets and add functionality to the kitchen by using large drawers with soft close hinges. It's hard to believe, but this peninsula was once basic cabinetry with sides that were simple flat panels. A little work, and it was transformed into this Shaker style peninsula that enhances the look and feel of this kitchen. Honestly, it is once of my favorite changes. We also changed the look of the countertop by creating a more modern tombstone edge instead of the half round that had previously been on the end of this peninsula. Combined with this faux dark granite created out of epoxy, I think it is an elegant look for any kitchen. The front side of the peninsula received all new Shaker style doors and drawer fronts. At Cabinet Craft, we offer many different door and drawer options to give you exactly what you are looking for in your new kitchen. The next few images are along one of the longer walls of the kitchen. The lower drawer banks used to be cabinet doors with a shelf inside. Imagine how much easier it will be to access your kitchen supplies when your change your lower cabinets to full extension soft close drawers. The simple crown used where the cabinets meet the soffit really look great and provide a nice separation between the soffit and cabinets. Many customers ask about removing soffits, but sometimes the expense of rerouting plumbing or electrical can really add up, and crown can still be used to create a separation between the two. One of the last areas addressed in this kitchen was this long wall with the sink and dishwasher. This section was pretty straight forward, but the final result is amazing! This kitchen was a lot of fun to work on! There are just so many things I love about the final result. Such as, the beautiful and unique epoxy countertop design, the full extension drawers, and I could go on. Most importantly, the homeowners are delighted with their new kitchen which is always our goal at Cabinet Craft.
