Bridgeport Kitchen

In this well maintained home, the homeowners wanted to update the look of their kitchen and add some functionality to the existing space.  The cabinetry was original to the home and lacked some of the conveniences found in modern kitchens.  No worries, Cabinet Craft is here to help.  Breaking this job up into stages, we started with this bank of cabinets as you enter the kitchen.

To add the updates these homeowners were looking for, we start by removing the old doors and drawer fronts, and the bead board side panels and face frames.

The lower cabinets were standard cabinets doors with a shelf inside.  This is one area of the kitchen that the homeowners were hoping to find a solution for getting on their hands and knees and digging inside this cabinet to find what they were looking for.  At Cabinet Craft, we love finding creative solutions to add beauty and functionality to a cabinet and we knew just what to do.  

With the doors and shelf removed, construction begins on new face frame components that get installed to create space for new drawers.

With the first two drawers in and sitting on their amazing undermount drawer slides, the bottom of the cabinet received it's drawer slides.

And just like that.....four drawers and a cabinet ready to be trimmed out to look like brand new, custom built cabinets.

These drawers function so well, and once hardware is added the look will be amazing!  Check out the full length stiles incorporated into the design at the toe kick to add to the custom look.  What was once a cabinet, now looks more like a piece of built in furniture for the space.

This bank of cabinets is now a beautiful, modern, and completely functional kitchen asset with less hassle and far less cost than a traditional kitchen remodel.  Next up, hardware, new countertops, and some crown to finish off the top of the cabinets.
